Anyone else grow up in Munso back in '84?

I remember seeing Joel around school. I wasn't ever really friends with him, but when he disappeared, and especially when the broadcasts started, that's all I remember talking about. It was crazy.

But then, there was a time when we... just stopped talking about him. like we all got bored.

I still feel kinda bad for that.

How could you EVER stop talking about this?? I only learned about this whole thing about a year ago, but I haven't been able to shut up about it since.

And if I was a KID?? ON THE SCHOOLYARD??? SEEING THIS EVERY SINGLE WEEK?!?!?
How could you EVER talk about ANYTHING else.

You all should be ashamed of yourselves.

Lived in Munso too, just found this forum.

Time moves on. Joel became less important as our lives got busier. And when the loop shut down, all hope of seeing him again left with it.

I don't feel ashamed. There was never anything I could do. I was just a kid. We all were.

Joel was, too.

Joel wasn't a very loud kid back then. Nobody really knew him.

We all claimed to, once he left, but even then, it felt like we were piecing together a ghost.

Do you think he would smile reading any of this?
